Create your own Deodorant

Today I want to share with you a recipe for deodorant. Finding the right deodorant can be tricky when there are so many decisions to make; perfume, alcohol, aluminium salts and so on. For this deodorant I've used as many natural ingredients as possible to ensure a minimum amount of irritation.

 For a 100ml you need:
45 ml of distilled water, I personally use rose water, but any water without too much lime/calcium
45 ml of about 40 % alcohol, you can use clear vodka or 70% alcohol and just use about 25 ml and add more water.
10 ml of vegetable glycerine, it helps to restore the moisture in your skin, alcohol can make you skin feel dry.
20 drops of lemon essential oil and 20 drops of tea tree essential oil. Both essential oils have anti bacterial qualities and smell fresh.
I've also added Farnesol, it's colorless, natural and is used for anti bacterial purposes. more here: wikipedia
It's also a BDIH certified substance, used for natural cosmetics. More on that here: BDIH website

This is just a basic recipe, you can about 25 drops of other essential oils to create your own scent, but it's all optional, the deodorant should work just fine without it.

Now all you need to do is put it in a sprayer and you're ready to smell good!

Untill next time!

Love!
