Super easy bath salt DIY

Whenever I make something, I try to keep it as natural as possible, cheap and easy.
This week I decided to try something I'd never made before; bath salt.

What do we need?
*sea salt, I chose the cheap supermarket bought version, but you can also choose Himalayan salt or dead sea salt.
*essential oils
*vegetable oil
*container, preferably a glass one
optional: food coloring, dried flowers

The version I'm making is super easy and basic. If you want to go a bit more fancy you can add food coloring or dried flowers to your mixture.

For this little container I used 7 richly filled tablespoons of sea salt and 1,5 teaspoons of vegetable oil. At first it may seem as though that could never be enough, but once you start mixing the whole thing you will see every grain of salt will be coated with a layer of oil. It's wise to add your essential oils to your vegetable oil, and add that mixture to the sea salt.
I've used about 10 drops of essential oil, rosemary and lavender. Be careful not to add too much essential oil to your bath salt, essential oils can have a very strong scent and instead of creating a relaxing experience your bath might result in a head ace.
Choose a vegetable oil based on their individual qualities. Olive oil, chamomile oil or calendula for dry or sensitive skin, sunflower oil or hemp oil for oily skin.

If you don't have a bath like me, don't worry. Bath salt combined with tea tree oil and lemon will make a great foot bath after a long day at work.
